About the IGDA.SSC

The International Games Developers’ Association Singapore Student Chapter (that’s quite a mouthful so henceforth we shorten it to IGDASSC) is a games development community for students in Singapore. We organise talks, workshops, outings, game-brainstorming and reviews section and good old fashioned LAN gatherings for all those who wish to be part of this community. We are a non-profit, voluntary-based organisation that is not sponsored by any company or government organisation.

We are interested in all type of games, be it board games, card games, pen and paper role-playing games and computer games. In regards to computer games, our current focus is on the Development of casual games and independently-developed games, which emphasises Creativity rather than the usual style of commercial games.

The IGDASSC is not affiliated to any Singaporean educational institution. We have members from the various institutes in Singapore including: Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, Republic Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

For more information about the policies of the IGDASSC, please refer to our wiki entry on the official IGDA Wiki.
